Art Hop

(Truth or Consequences NM)
On the evening of the second Saturday of each month, T-or-C holds their Art Hop. Downtown galleries, cafés, and shops stay open late and often feature special exhibits and entertainment. In November, I went with a couple of RVing friends.

We strolled around looking at the paintings, sculptures, crafts, jewelry, fiber, antiques, folk art, stained glass, and other creations. Some artists had their studios open, and we got to talk with them about their art. There were musicians playing at a couple of the galleries, too.

After awhile we stopped to eat at The Brazen Fox Taquería. The food was very good, but the portions were small. That is typical; as you are supposed to sample several items to make a meal. Prices can add up quickly though. The Grapevine Bistro had tamales on special. However, the music there was too load, so we passed.

It was a fun time with friends seeing all the art in this very artsy town. I’m sure to attend again. Another post is needed to show all the funky murals downtown. I camped for free next to the Rio Grande.

Note: No people in the photos even though there were lots there. That’s because I forgot to take my camera to the Art Hop. So, these photos were taken another day.
