Old Fiddlers Dance

Every Saturday night there is a dance at the Old Fiddlers Club. Each week is a different band playing mostly country and bluegrass music. They’re pretty good, and some have played in well known bands like Merle Haggard.

The crowd is mostly older folks, with occasionally younger ones joining in, as well as visitors from out of town. Refreshments are served when the band takes a break, and they are always delicious homemade treats.

Everyone has a good time dancing the night away. It’s been a long time since I’ve done any dancing, so I’m having to relearn the steps. Thankfully, there are plenty of single women there eager to teach me.

So, I found another fun activity in this neat town. I’ve enjoyed the socializing, getting to know others and making new friends.
