The summer found me staying high in the mountains of northern New Mexico. It started around the neat village of Chama, and gradually moved eastward. Familar and new camps were used, while looking for interesting places to explore.
State Parks at Heron Lake and El Vado Lake provided scenic views, while some nice boondocking spots in the Carson National Forest got me up as high as 10,000ft when temperatures rose. Forest Walks, horses, and the Brazos Cliffs filled the “what’s there” spaces.
