(Elephant Butte NM)
The rock formation that provides the name for the town and the state park can’t be seen from the main entrance area. One needs to drive out of the park, and a few miles east to the Elephant Butte Dam site.
From a spot overlooking the marina, the elephant shape can be viewed. It takes a proper angle and some imagination to envision the elephant. As can be seen by the markings, the water level was extremely low.
Not much happening with me at this time of year. So, posts could be fewer and less often. Planning for my next warm weather travels continues. I’m still enjoying this vagabond lifestyle.

Nice post. I am not really thrilled over the several months I have been in the same place. 2018 was not a best year for me but I am still in the Castle enjoying the full time life style. See you somewhere along the way in 2019 I hope.
Don’t thnk I could stay put for that long. Hope 2019 is better for you. If you plan to come this way, let me know.
Still enjoying the vagabond life? 😉
Very much so; especially lately.
