Puerto Palomas Art

(Puerto Palomas MX)
There was art all around town; on the plaza, on the side of buildings, on patios and in stores. Most of these photos were taken in and around the Pink Store.

Sculptures were prominent, as was folk art. Also pottery, wood carvings, weavings, paintings, silver works, murals, and many others could be seen.

Just three miles south of Pancho Villa State Park, this popular border town has reasonable prices for art, food, gifts, clothing, and medical services.

Friendly small town people, and bargains around every corner made for a pleasant visit. I always come back with something special.

I enjoy Palomas each time I visit. Pretty sure the “free” margarita loosens up my wallet, too.

Amazing photos! I wish we had more art like this up north. The SW has such a beautiful native-American and Mexican influence. The Mariachi sculpture is adorable!

Yes. One of my favorite things about New Mexico is the blend of cultures. And, seeing creative stuff is always a pleasure.
