Trees in My Travels

(Various Places)
Not much happening now, so thought I’d share some photos of trees seen in my travels. Images were chosen from several states, different kinds of trees and simply because I liked the shots. Hope you do too.

Trees in My Travels – Live Oak in Rainbow Springs FL

I tried to identify the species, but that wasn’t my main interest. Colors, textures, and the overall look of the scene were things that attracted me. First up was a live oak covered in Spanish moss. Then, a beech in early fall with the sun lighting it up.

A large stump caught my eye surrounded by the expansive pine forest. The line of palms on a little spit of land refected into a lake. A magnolia standing tall stood out amongst all the other types of trees.

I came upon this grove of aspens while hiking; there was something rather serene and lovely about it. Finally, a giant Sitka spruce at 185ft tall and estimated at over 500 years old. It was so big that I couldn’t fit it all into the frame.
