Excursion Plans

(Southwest)
In the past, my travel patterns have consisted mostly of hanging around New Mexico in the Fall and Winter, and traveling to other places in the Spring and Summer. However, in the last few years, travel restrictions have curtailed that pattern. I’m hopeful that this year will allow roaming.

Excursion Plans – Tardis

Plans are being made to begin a wide loop in the southwest to see places missed during previous trips. It will avoid stopping in densely populated areas as much as possible. No sense in taking unnecessary chances. I should head out in the first part of April.

Boondocking with Tardis

So far, the planned route goes through parts of Arizona, Utah, and Colorado before returning to New Mexico. Camping will be at BLM and national forest campgrounds and boondocking. Seeing historic sites and hiking, along with other opportunities are expected. It should be a fun excursion.

Sounds like a good “plan” Pleinguy! Exactly how we like to roll as well. We’re actually toying with an Alaska adventure this summer (not for sure, but considering it). Have you ever tried such a trip?

I was in Alaska during my time in the Air Force. The extreme distance to go and return hasn’t seemed worth it. Although, it would certainly be an adventure! Too much wear and tear on my older RV.

You have a good plan for sure. Not too far and with lots of side opportunities also. Just be safe please.

Thanks Barney. Safety first, then lots of fun!
