(Dutch John to Manila UT)
This was my second visit to the Flaming Gorge NRA, and this time I spent much of it on the east side. I roamed around and boondock camped at a couple of spots by the lake.
There were several pullout points with views overlooking the lake, the 502ft tall Flaming Gorge Dam on the Green River, and an arched bridge with a span of 550ft going over an inlet.
Got a nice shot of Sheep Creek Bay from a rest stop high above the view. The lake with distant mountains was just a few steps from my camp in Jug Hollow, and I got a view of Osprey Island from a distance.
I camped below some impressive and colorful cliffs, and near to Sheep Creek. Got another view of the lake and mountains from atop a ledge. Of course, there were many other views; but, I could only share just a few.
The weather was beautiful for my visit in the middle of May; although, there was still some snow on the ground at higher elevations. I’m glad I got to see the area again.

Great views. Thank you.
Your very welcome. Thanks for commenting.
That is beautiful country. Thanks for showing it! I’ve never been there, but now I am quite interested….
I had to look it up. I’ve been close to it, both north and south and east, but not to the west as far as Salt Lake. That was all a long time ago. Anyway, thanks again. Nice to travel, even if vicariously.
It’s a pretty place located in the far northeast corner of Utah. Best times to visit are late Spring or early Autumn.
This series is one of my faves of the recent images.
Thanks for letting me know.
