(Uravan to Naturita CO)
I continued south on the Unaweep Scenic Byway along the western edge of Colorado. At a certain point, the San Miguel River entered the Dolores River which itself veered westward. The road then paralleled the San Miguel.
There was a parking area and a short trail next to the San Miguel River, near to where the Tabeguache Creek emptied into it. Wasn’t much to see as dense undergrowth blocked much of the view. I was disappointed about not finding other photo opportunities along the river.
I stopped in Naturita for lunch at a local restaurant which was pretty good. The plan was to camp by the river. But, after a long drive to a free boondocking area, I found all spots were occupied. So, I backtracked and headed toward my next destination.
Camp: BLM-Unaweep Divide boondock
Scene: River, trees
WOW that first pic takes care of not getting to take the others you wanted. That is great scenery. Thank you. We are getting ready for four days of freezing temps here in North Alabama. Be safe and warm.
I didn’t think of it that way; but, you may be right.
