More New Mexico
Still finding things to do in New Mexico. From Elephant Butte to Las Cruces, and even went down to El Paso TX. Making new friends, and just enjoying life in the ‘Land of Enchantment’.
New Mexico
In April, I camped in three state parks, a Wal-Mart parking lot, and a friend’s yard. Also, camped and hiked at Aguirre Springs NRA with a friend. Saw a play, murals in downtown Las Cruces, a pottery exhibit, a small concert at a winery, and went to the El Paso Art Museum in Texas. Tardis received its semi-annual service, and had the onboard generator overhauled.
May saw me house sitting for a friend and tending to the cats. Took my friend to, and picked up from the airport in El Paso. Went to a Chorale Concert, Symphony, and Jazz Concert. Also, had a doctor and dentist visit. And of course, camped in the usual state parks.
In June, I found myself house sitting for a friend who had to go back east for a funeral; then picked them up at the El Paso Airport. Had an visit to the dentist to clean my teeth. Then revisited Three Rivers Petroglyphs, Carrizozo, and Socorro.
Later in the month, I did a loop twice visiting Deming, City of Rocks, Silver City, Piños Altos, Fort Bayard, and Emory Pass. Camped in the mountains to cool off, took photos in Percha Creek Canyon, stopped in the ghosttown of Lake Valley, and to see the water cascading over Leasburg Dam.
