My Usual Winter Routine
I spent the Winter staying at my usual camping spots in southern New Mexico. Mostly hanging out in the Elephant Butte Lake area, with a short jaunt down next to the border with Mexico.

New Mexico
At the beginning of January, I started out from Caballo Lake State Park; then headed down to Pancho Villa State Park just three miles from the Mexican border. Spent a couple of weeks there, enjoyed great green chile cheeseburgers at the Patio Café, and had a friend visit me. Returned to camp by Caballo Lake and Elephant Butte Lake. And, posted about Snow Scenes and Evening Light.

As usual, I rotated between camps at Elephant Butte Lake and Caballo Lake State Parks. And, posted about Painting on iPad and Excursion Plans. The temperatures remained colder than in the past.

Again, rotating between camps while having my annual checkup with the VA, and preparing to leave for an extended journey in the southwest. Posted about a Roadrunner visit, the Final Weeks of Season, and Prep for Road Trip.
