Early Return to New Mexico
After my early return to New Mexico, I settled in at rotating between familiar campsites between the Pie Town and Quemado Lake areas.
New Mexico
Mostly, I boondock camped at Jackson Park and BLM South in Pie Town, West Pass and Slash Draw in the Cibola NF, and El Caso Peak in the Gila NF. Otherwise, just relaxed and enjoyed the pie, moderate temperatures with afternoon clouds and the refreshing monsoon rains.
Continued rotating camps as done in July. Toward the end of August I began moving toward a return to the Truth-or-Consequences area; i.e. Slash Draw to Dátil Well to Water Canyon camps.
Made it back to the Truth or Consequences area as planned, and rotated between several familiar spots. Renewed my annual camping pass for the state parks, but continued to boondock also. Got an oil change for Tardis, and had the refrigerator serviced.
