(nr Eminence MO)
Part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways …
Besides the rivers and springs, I found Rocky Falls down a county road and a gravel track. It had a nice drop with a pool at the base going into the small creek that flowed away into the woods.
A short trail took me through the woods to a secluded spot on the creek. There were picnic tables well spaced amongst the trees, but not much else. Since I love waterfalls, it was worth the side trip.
I then went looking for another spring, and found Round Spring; so named because it was “round as a silver dollar”. Not sure I buy that reasoning. It too flowed out from the base of a cliff and had a depth of 310ft.
Plus there was an upper and lower pool as the water seeped though the rock. It then flowed through the woods toward the Current River. I liked the water plants, and lush wetland look.
I then went into the town of Eminence, and found a nice little café for lunch. The bar-b-que pork sandwich and home fries were surprisingly good.

You take some of the best photos – make me feel like I could reach out and touch the leaves and dip my foot into the water. It looks like a beautiful area.
Thank you so much Martha. Glad you like them. Did you know that if you click or tap on a photo it will show a larger version? Try it.
What beautiful, pristine waters! Your waterfall pictures are always beautiful. There is something amazing about seeing cascading water.
Barbecued pork and home fries sound really good right now!
Appreciate the comment Brad. Cascades and falls are some of my favorite scenes. They are mesmerizing for sure.
