As I’ve wandered around New Mexico, the many old style chapels have caught my attention. Thought I’d share some with you.
They’re often very old with accompanying defects that add charm. Slightly askew lines, faded colors and varied textures combine for interesting visual affects.
They have a similar appeal as old run down barns provide for the artist’s eye. Or perhaps like gnarly trees and craggy rocks? Good subject material for paintings.
Some are new and built with the colonial or pueblo style adobe features. Still, the look has a certain character that is appealing. Hope you enjoy them too.
