(Jacksonville FL)
Today I attended the annual RV Super Show for our area. It was about the same as the last few years, except I believe fewer brands were represented. There were more travel trailers and fifth-wheels than motorhomes by far, more Class A’s than Class C’s, only three Class B’s, and just a few campers.
As usual, I was not terribly impressed with the offerings. Although, it did seem that the “show special” prices were lower across all types this year. I’m planning to buy used, so the new prices did’t matter to me, except to see how they are trending.
There were two features I found interesting. One was a 20 ft travel trailer with a Murphy bed that lowered over the sofa. This unit also had a larger oven that one could actually bake in. The other was a diesel 24 ft Class C with no bed what-so-ever. Not even a sofa or an over cab loft. That seemed rather odd.
The selection at the show again confirmed my choice of trying to find a lovingly used 24 ft Lazy Daze Twin-king Class C motorhome. Hopefully, the house will sell and I will be shopping for the RV later this year.
Camp: Home in the sticks-n-bricks
Scene: Residential neighborhood
Can’t go wrong with Lazy Daze – great quality!
Is your home on the market yet?
Dick
Hi Dick – I’m working toward having the house ready to sell by this summer. With any luck I’ll be in the RV before the end of this year.
I am looking forward to hearing about your painting adventures… and road adventures once you hit the road! We may end up in an RV yet… but it will be a while. It would be so nice to be able to “stop” when and where ever we would want to! LOL
