This week I attended a camp out with the South East Lazy Daze club. It’s my third time meeting with them. This is an owner’s group for the brand of motorhome I plan to buy. The below picture is of the model I hope to find later this year.
One night there was a pot luck dinner, with everyone bringing a home made dish. It was delicious and visiting with the owners was enjoyable. The founder of the group was honored with a plaque. Dinner was followed by a camp fire gathering. However, I chose to watch some that were attempting to assemble a huge puzzle that depicted a montage of Norman Rockwell paintings.
The next morning I went to the Tech Talk discussion where owners shared issues and solutions with maintaining their rigs. It was enlightening to hear their candor about these problems; and they provided tips and contacts for reliable RV repair techs. The group also maintains a website for members with general info and specific tech demos.
I spent the afternoon walking around the Hanna Park campground and visiting the nearby beach. The evening ended with a pizza party with everyone able to order the toppings they preferred. Afterward, I chose to assist in the successful completion of the puzzle. As I left, I promised them that the next time I would arrive in my very own Lazy Daze RV.
