Spent a few days at Baker Lake in the northern Cascade Mountains just laying back and enjoying the moderate temperatures. The prior week had seen most days approaching one hundred degrees.
It was a beautiful setting on a lake with several mountains as a backdrop. A nice picnic area with swimming was available for all campers to use, and also a boat ramp.
The growth in the forest was dense and much of it was moss covered. A mile or so down the road was the aptly named Boulder Creek with rocks, gravel and logs galore.
Several snow capped peaks were visible in the area, including nearby Mount Baker at 10,781ft. It made for a pretty view in all directions.
A bonus was visiting with fellow blogger Jimbo and his pooch Chica. He was camp hosting there for the summer, and put he me in a nice campsite right next to the lake.

I have moved on, and no mosquitos at Baker Lake. There are four campgrounds, so you have a good chance of finding one you like. I slipped pass the fires in the Methow Valley about 10 days ago.
Beautiful! We plan to pay Jimbo a visit soon.
You will enjoy your visit there. It’s a pretty location.
I didn’t realize you were still two or three weeks behind on your posts. I wonder what part of the country you’re in now. In a couple of weeks you could be anywhere. Are you in Maine? 😉
Yes, still three weeks behind on posts; but, slowly catching up. I’m now in Montana.
