From my camp at Cataract Gulch, I hiked a different trail to find Sherman Falls. Across the road was a path leading to an old mining road. There was no signage to find the way; but, someone told me about it. So, off I went.
It was probably 1/2 mile to the falls viewpoint at the edge of a cliff. Seeing the falls between the trees was very difficult. I attempted a couple of different paths, but with equally poor line of sight.
The water emerged from a gap in the cliffs on the other side of a deep gorge. I would guess the drop was 200ft or more. I could not see all the way to the bottom of the canyon. Anyway, these shots were the best I could get using telephoto-zoom.
My camp at Cataract Gulch included seeing deer and a moose, several hikes, creeks, cascades, waterfalls, and beautiful mountain views. Couldn’t ask for better!

WOW that is some nice scenery. Thanks for taking me to visit it remotely.
Glad to oblige. And, thank you for coming on the journey.
Spectacular photos. I got somewhat dizzy looking at them! Now that is great photography!
Thank you so much Martha. I’m blushing.
