The Gathering of Quilts exihibit is held every year to showcase the latest creations by area quilters. There must have been over 100 on display, from small to very large. It was a feast for the eyes.

There were lots of patterns and designs, from traditional to painterly and more free form styles. Some included embroidery, drawing, writing, appliqué, or unusual shapes within and for the overall piece.

I really don’t know much about this craft; but, there were some beautiful, colorful, and creative designs. Most were useful items, but some were purely decorative. Seeing the great variety of expessions was interesting.
