(nr Kanab UT)
Kanab Canyon (also called Angel Canyon) was more interesting than I expected. Plenty of expansive views with jagged shapes and elevations. I walked around a bit, and got all these photos from the gravel roadway.
There were rugged rock formations, tall cliffs, myriad colors, textured surfaces and a muddy creek. However, the water was too far away to get a good shot. I didn’t want to trek the steep incline to access it.
My hike was probably less than a mile. But, it was enough to enjoy all the wonderful scenery. I never tire of this type of landscape. Plenty of variety to satisfy the senses.
I didn’t linger in the canyon for long as there were other sights in the area I wanted to see. So, off I went in search of the next rock.

I loved the Pacific Northwest Terrain, Basically Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and the Dakotas kept me enthralled for five years, You could spend an entire lifetime being thrilled with all the sights. Be careful.
I’d have to agree with you on those observations.
