When driving the rig, I like to keep my cell phone and other items handy. The passenger side cup slot would hold them. But, it was not convenient. After considering several options, I came up with the idea for a series of pockets in a belt that would attach to the face of the cup-holder tray. My friend John, who does leatherwork, happened to be in the area. So, I asked him to make it for me, based on a drawing.

In the organizer from left to right:
- Sunglasses
- iPod touch
- Cell phone
- MiFi hotspot
- Lip balm
- Pen or pencil
Now, the cup slots only need to hold my insulated mug and LED flashlight.
Isn’t it beautiful! The new custom made leather pocket organizer keeps everything within easy reach when I’m going down the road. I won’t even have to look; just reach and grab what I need.
This mod has made the cab much more driver friendly. A few other ideas are planned for this area. I don’t have them finalized yet, but they are high priority.
