Stopped to see Tierra Wools, a store that provides locally sourced materials for weavers and other fiber arts from their own ranch.
They had lots of choices for hand-dye organic yarns, hand crafted looms, spinning wheels, patterns, and other weaving supplies.
In addition, there were unique artisan items like scarves, gloves, rugs, tapestries, blankets, pelts, and others available.
They also conduct classes for weaving, spinning, and hand dyeing with master weavers. Students create their own one-of-a-kind treasures.
The entire wool process is as they say, “from hoof to loom”. Their lambs wool comes from Rambouillet and Navajo-Churro (descended from the Iberian Churra) raised in the surrounding mountains.
