Local singer-songwriter Hieronymus Bogs debuted his new album “The Mystic Way” at the Artist Abbey Gallery. The venue was packed, but still comfortable for listening to mostly acoustic pieces.

The opening act was the duo Desert Milk who run a recording studio in town. Their sound was a mix of folksy rock. This couple also wrote some of the songs for Bogs.

Bogs music had an edgy feel, and featured mostly protest lyrics, with a few love ballads. The new album, and older ones were available to buy. Between groups was a ‘meet the artist’ time with refreshments served.

Another enjoyable evening listening to free music. It’s great to have so many options to be entertained.

Hmm. My review would have been a bit different. I think the Desert Milk Duo was enjoyable. However, I found Bogs to have more image than talent. It was definitely a packed house. Timing was great with the light parade happening just before it
I would agree with your assessment. I liked Desrt Milk better, too.
Glad you enjoyed the concert. Love the Elephant Butte area.

I try to attend music by local talent as much as possible.
