(nr Flagstaff AZ)
Further up AZ-89A, there was a vista area that overlooked Oak Creek Canyon. So, I stopped to take some photos. The views were pretty impressive, and the paved walkway and viewing stations made it easy.

A large parking area, restrooms, and a visitor center which was closed, makes this a good rest stop between Sedona and Flagstaff. I only stopped long enough to get some pictures.

There was a native crafts market setup along the way to the viewpoints. Most were packing up to leave at that time, so I didn’t do any browsing.

I suspected this vista stop was fairly close to where I planned to camp. So, it was on to find the next forest boondocking spot.
Camp: Coconino NF FR-237 boondock
Scene: Canyon, cliffs, forest
More nice views. Thank you.
Thanks. I appreciate the thought.
Great visit to beautiful country. I’ve enjoyed my visits there but never seen it in snow. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like the photos Rick.
