(Dinosaur CO)
A drive up Harpers Corner Road took me toward the Colorado portion of Dinosaur National Monument. It was a longer road than expected; so, I never got as far as the actual monument.
There were many expansive views along the road. It was a rocky landscape with Plug Hat Butte as the main scenic element.
Apparently the Dominguez-Escalante Expedition passed through the area. After seeing the Escalante Overlook, I decided to turn around.
Since no camping was allowed along the way, I needed time to reach another site. Hence, I didn’t see as much of the area as I had originally intended.
Camp: BLM-McCoy Flat boondock
Scene: Buttes, cliffs, vistas
Thanks for another great review. I sure enjoy your reviews.
I appreciate you letting me know Barney. Thanks for following my journey.
Those are interesting buttes. You can just SEE geological events. No doubt something went on here…..for a long time. Thanks. Lovely views.
I’m more into how things look than how they were made. Still, I’m glad you liked the photos.
