I was in a pretty nice camp with shade trees, the surrounding cliffs and mountains. However, the cell signal was weak and only worked intermittently with an amp and outside antenna. What to do?

I knew that a couple of miles up the highway a good signal existed. But, I didn’t want to go that far. As I looked around, I saw there was a high hill across the road with a slope that seemed not too steep.

So, off I went to see if I could hike to the top. It was easy at first, but got more difficult with loose rocks and a steeper incline. With no trail to follow, it was a guess as to which way to proceed.

Eventually, I reached the summit and was rewarded with a panoramic view. There was my rig Tardis, far below and tucked in amongst the trees. And, as expected there was a good signal with 3 bars. Hurrah!
